Number of times in the past week my blood sugar before bed has been below 65 = 7
Number of times in the past week my blood sugar before breakfast has been above 200 = 6
Number of times in the past week I have corrected my insulin dose before dinner = 5
Number of days my blood sugar has been in range during the day, other than before bed and before breakfast = 7.
Number of times in the past week I have used a four letter expletive upon looking at the numbers on my meter = 13
I can't figure out what is going on here but I'm getting mighty sick of it. Bad, bad diabetes.

If I were you, and seeing numbers like that, I'd set some alarms for intervals during that night to see what's happening. Why?
Because I'd suspect drops during the overnight, and hypos followed by liver dumps. You're going to bed low, the basal rate is pushing you way too low, and the liver finally dumps a bunch of sugar to the point you wake up well over 200 mg/dl.
For what it's worth, I've been having a crappy week too. Just goofy numbers with no real good reason (that I've found yet anyway).
Here's to hoping we both can get back on track soon!
Thanks, Matt- I figured it was a bounce, maybe I need to tackle it from the basal rate and not the insulin/carb dinner ratio. But I'm loathe to mess up the daytime numbers.
Thanks, Scott- maybe it's spring?
Lots of people are having balance problems - me too. Could very well be the coming of spring, change of light of moods..... but I think Matt hit the nail on the head!
Is it possible you are making too many changes to your dinner bolus? I've heard that you should give 3 days for a change to show it's effect. But I mostly have heard that in relation to Lantus and Levemir dosing.
